As decisions are being made across the state about when is the right time to return to "normal operations," we wanted to reach out and update you on decisions being made at TSTC.
Today, we decided that our remote-work status will be extended. On a daily basis, the TSTC leadership team will continue to assess the COVID-19 situation. If this new date needs adjustment in the future, we'll notify you right away.
We will continue to teach existing online classes for Spring 2020 on their original schedule and these courses will end by May 1. The academic calendar can be found here . Should you have individual questions about your unique situation please contact your enrollment coach who will help you find a solution.
For face-to-face and hybrid classes and programs, your instructor(s) have been emailing or calling you to provide you with assignments to work on while the campus is closed. If you have not heard from your instructor(s) please email them. Once we are able to welcome students back onto campus, you will finish out the remainder of your semester in the lab(s). The earliest that we may return to normal on-campus instruction is May 4, 2020 and this date would have our semester end on May 29. For these courses the drop date has been extended until May 1.
We are committed to helping you finish your program with TSTC. Since we are adjusting our summer schedule, online courses will be available for registration starting April 6, with the entire summer schedule to be available by April 16. Registration for fall will also open on April 6 for all courses.
For the most up-to-date information continue to visit tstc.edu/coronavirus or the Student FAQ. If you have any questions, please discuss them with your instructor or enrollment coach.
For now, please do your best to get your coursework done while remaining safe and healthy.
Sincerely,
