Tex PREP

Tex Prep identifies high achieving middle school and high school students with the potential and interest in becoming scientists and engineers to reinforce them in the pursuit of these fields. The primary objective of Tex Prep is to increase the number of students who will choose to pursue a career in the fields of mathematics, science, engineering, or technology. To provide them with a strong foundation for academic achievement, Tex Prep focuses on analytical thinking and problem solving skills. Additionally, Tex Prep aims to increase the retention rate of those students both in high school and college. Students take intensive coursework that includes logic, computer science, engineering, problem solving, physics, algebraic structures, probability, statistics, technical writing, and career awareness seminars.

Tex Prep in an intellectually demanding program, which has high expectations of its participants. Tex Prep students must be willing to dedicate themselves to hard work and intellectually demanding classes.

Tex Prep is a partnership between TSTC Harlingen, UTSA, and supporting school districts. Our headquarters office is located at UTSA Tex Prep. Our site office is TSTC Harlingen Tex Prep.
