 Mission Statement

The Mission of our tutoring Program is to empower students academically through assisance of multiple subject areas and thus strengthen their learning and critical thinking skills and help them attain their graduation and career goals.

What is supplemental Instruction?

Supplemental instruction (SI) is a program that targets traditionally difficult courses-such as mathematics, biology, chemistry, and history, those that have a high rate of D or F grades and withdrawals and provides regularly scheduled, out-of-class, peer facilitated sessions.

Academic Tutoring/Supplemental instruction is avaliable each semester in the Student Success Office to help students improve their academic performance for courses in which they may have difficulty. The tutors must have gotten courses an "A" in the course he/she wants to tutor and must be an overall exemplary student maintaining a qualifying overall GPA of 3.0.
