Work Study Program

The Federal Work Study Program is funded under the authority of the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964 and subsequent amendments.  This program is jointly funded by the federal government under Title IV.  All students considered for employment under the Work Study Program are given an equal opportunity without discrimination regardless of race, color, gender, religion, national origin, age or disability.

Students who are interested in applying for the Work Study Program must indicate their interest on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). 

Eligibility Requirements: 
  • Need to be in a TSTC granting degree or certificate program; (undeclared do not qualify)
  • Must be at least half-time 6 credits or more.
  • Preference given to students having at least two semesters remaining before graduation.
  • Preference given to students not sponsored by other sources such as WIA, TRC, DARS, VIDA.....ETC
  • Must have current student financial aid report on file at TSTC Financial Aid Office.
  • Must be available to work a minimum of 10 hours per week.
  • Must have unmet need. 
  • Must meet the Standards of Academic Progress
