Computer Systems Management Technology

The Computer Systems Management Technology Program prepares students for careers in the computer and computer-related industries where they provide technical assistance, maintenance and support for computer hardware and software.  Positions available are Computer Maintenance Technicians, Computer Support Specialists, Computer Support Technicians, and Data Processing Repairers.

Graduates from this program would have a strong background in the repair and maintenance of computers including preventative maintenance, licensing renewals, upgrades and recommendations for purchasing new computer systems; appropriate safety training, effective oral and written communication skills, effective teamwork experience; and proper documentation procecdures.  

The instruction within the program includes the skills and procedures to understand hardware, software, and troubleshooting defective computer or computer related devices.  Classes are geared to provide the knowledge and hands-on instruction to simulate common situations that will be faced in industry along with simulated situations to enhance critical problem solving skills.
