The first of three part series of courses in American Sign Language, is an introduction to sign language, finger-spelling, and numbers.  This course provides students with the basics functional communication skills with individuals who are deaf.  Book required.

Conversational Spanish for Professionals I

Course Code: FRNL 1001 

Feel the need to learn some Spanish to get along in today's world?  This course will provide the practical vocabulary and phrases needed to communicate effectively with non-English speaking people and introduces language skills to use in everyday situations.  This course is progressive, student-friendly and is taught in a low-stress environment.

Spanish I for Health Care Professionals

Course Code: SPNL 1002

The curriculum for this course gives specialized instruction for healthcare employees in developing practical communication skills with Spanish speaking patients and families.  Class will meet at Valley Baptist Health Systems Hospital in Harlingen, TX.  This course will be scheduled when there is sufficient response from the healthcare community.
