Communication and Humanities

The purpose of the Speech Communication Department is to support and enhance the college's technical studies by providing communicative arts courses that strengthen the student's opportunity to succeed in college and, ultimately, in placement, performance, and advancement in the workplace.

The goal of the TSTC Humanities curriculum is to prepare students to adapt to the ever-changing and complex society and work environments they will occupy in the future.  Courses in Art, Music, Philosophy, and Ethics, teach survival skills that develop and nurture well-rounded students who will be productive, as well as creative, culturally aware, and socially responsible individuals.
