Sat., Sun.: Closed Turnitin What is Turnitin? Turnitin is a Web-based service that locates and highlights similar or copied text in a written assignment. It uses data-mining to compile a large database of electronic academic materials. Faculty can submit student assignments to the Turnitin database or setup student access to submit their assignments for checking. Turnitin checks the assignment against its database; generates an Originality Report online that summarizes and highlights matching text.
