NOTE: Classes that start prior to 1 October 2011 will continue to be processed through the Minuteman system. As a reminder, Soldiers MUST request TA prior to the class start date in GoArmyEd. Soldiers can register for classes in GoArmyEd up to two months prior to the class start date. The following program descriptions are up-to-date, thumbnail descriptions. General and detailed descriptions of each program are online at http://gibill.va.gov/benefits/index.html All Veterans who feel they may be eligible for education benefits should submit an application. Even if someone appears ineligible, VA should review his or her application and officially deny or grant benefits. Type of VA Benefits:

*** You must complete classes that are part of your degree plan in order to get certified for these classes. You will not get paid for a class that is not part of your degree plan. If you change your program/major, you must notify the VA Representative ( in the Financial Aid Office) ASAP and fill out the proper forms to be recertified. *** Make sure that you make arrangements to pay for your classes ahead of time as it is your responsibility to pay for your classes. Army National Guard Soldiers' transition to GoArmyEd as the mechanism for requesting Federal Tuition Assistance (TA) continues. As of 1 August 2011, Guard Soldiers started requesting TA through GoArmyEd for any class starting on or after 1 October 2011.
